After all the blood sweat and D20 rolls of participating in the D&D Next beta testing, it’s finally been announced, the newest addition of Wizards of the Coast’s popular Roleplaying Game, Dungeons & Dragons. All though there are only a few details at the moment the main thing I have been excited to hear or more accurately see is the new artwork for the books.
First up will be the Starter Set which is due July 15th and will contain the key elements to get you up and rolling, with a streamlined version of the rules, a starter adventure and some pre-generated characters. This will retail at around £13.29.
Wizards of the Coast will then be releasing the core 3 books:
The Players handbook which will be released on the 19th of August and will be around £29.99.
The Monster Manual will be up 30th of September £29.99
The Dungeon Masters guide will spawn on the 18th of November £29.41
And if that isn’t enough to get your dice a clacking there are two adventures planed for release this year that should tie in with the Tyranny of Dragons storyline. Hoard of the Dragon Queen is due for release on the 19th of August £19.99 and The Rise of Tiamat is set for the 21st of October £12.99
Prepare to geekgasm now as Icon of the Realms miniatures, starter sets and booster packs, will be available July.
Hopefully, everything here will be a critical hit with you 😉
