With the UKGE only a week away I have decided to put a list together of my most anticipated games that will either be for sale or demoed at the expo this year. So here it is my UKGE 2017 want list.

1.Dice Hospital

It’s a worker placement game with dice what more do you need to know…. Oh, you do.  Dice hospital is a game for 1-4 players where you have to treat as many patients as possible. The dice represent your patients, the lower the die value the sicker the patient is. Use action points in order to treat patients, the player with the highest reputation wins.

2.Beer Empire

Wow, there is a lot going on in Beer Empire! Worker placement, set collection, area control, bidding and action programming. Will it all work together? I hope to find out in this 2-4 player game of crafting beer and quenching the thirst of the market’s needs.

3.Century: Spice Road

Yes, the theme seems bland and done to death, but there has been a lot of chatter around this game the words “Splendor killer” have even been mentioned a fair few times. With this in mind, I’m eager to try this 2-5 player card drafting and set collection game.

4.Caverna: Cave vs Cave

Based on the awesomeness of Caverna, this is a version specifically designed for 2. If Caverna: Cave vs Cave is anything like the reimplemented 2 player versions of Le Havre (Inland port) and Agricola ( All creatures big and small), then we are in for a treat.

5.Pyramid of the Sun

A stunning filler game by the designer of saboteur and Nuns on the run. Boasting simple rules and light strategy that can be enjoyed by gamers and non-gamers alike. Pyramid of the Sun is a hand management card game and the key to winning is knowing when to play your cards and when to hold back, as the pyramid grows the rewards are higher but there is less space to play the cards, which gives it a tile placement mechanic.

As always it would be great to hear from you guys about what you are most looking forward to at UKGE 2017.
Don’t forget to say Hi at the expo it’s always great to talk games with you all.
